Explore the White Mountains in the winter and rest up in style at North Conway's Cranmore Mountain Lodge

Don’t let the winter blues get you down. Shake things up and plan a weekend adventure in northern New Hampshire. Snowshoe up peaks or beautiful trails, then rest and relax at the historic Cranmore Mountain Lodge inn and resort in North Conway, NH.

This adventure offers two days of guided snowshoeing or hiking with a knowledgeable Eastern Mountain Sports guide, plus two nights’ stay at the Cranmore Mountain Lodge.

Meet your guide on Friday night after you’ve checked in to discuss your route over hot chocolate and homemade appetizers. After a full country breakfast on Saturday morning, you’ll head out into the snow armed with a delicious packed lunch to keep you energized. You might check out the views on Mt. Chocoroua or take pictures by the fire tower on the summit of Mt. Kearsarge, for example. When the day is through, rest your tired muscles in the Cranmore Mountain Lodge hot tub or read by the fireplace in one of the lodge’s comfortable living rooms.

We’ll meet again on Sunday for our second winter trek, after another scrumptious breakfast. Now that you’re acclimatized to your snowshoes and the weather, we’ll choose from a wide variety of area trails for day two. If you’re up for pushing limits, we can try a more challenging peak; or, if you want to feel completely refreshed after your weekend, choose a relaxing trail and savor the views.

All technical equipment is provided for this trek, but if you’re comfortable with your own snowshoes and poles, feel free to bring them. Hearty breakfasts, energy packed lunches, and evening appetizers will all be provided. Whether you’re an avid snowshoer or are just starting out, come join us for a weekend retreat to the mountains to play in the snow and view some of the most breathtaking scenes in New England.
